Lisa Delancy

Pharmacy & Pharmaceuticals 

Lisa Delancy PharmD, JD, MBA, has more than 15 years of experience in the health care industry. Lisa received her PharmD from Florida A and M University College of Pharmacy in Tallahassee, Florida. After graduating from Pharmacy School, Lisa attended Stetson University College of Law, where she earned a Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration. While at Stetson, Lisa earned a Health Care Law Concentration Certificate and focused her studies on Health Care Law and Elder Law.

 

Since 2005, she has worked in a variety of positions within the Managed Care industry including Formulary Development and Management, Pharmacy Network Management, Medicare Part D Appeals, Medication Therapy Management, Pharmacy, and Therapeutics Committee, Drug Trend Analysis, and Pharmacy Rebates.

 

While at WellCare Health Plans, Lisa established the Part D Appeals and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Departments. In her role at WellCare, she was also responsible for overseeing the Pharmaceutical Rebates Administration for all Lines of Business; and was the point of contact for all pharmaceutical manufacturers. At WellCare, she also managed the pharmacy network with the Prescription Benefits Manager (PBM) and served as the lead for reviewing and overhauling all pharmacy-related Part D Policies and Procedures.   Lisa played an integral role in developing strategies to contain costs, manage trend and maintain plan profitability.

 

Lisa gained additional experience at CVSCaremark as a Clinical Account Manager for Commercial, Medicare, and Managed Medicaid Health Plans.  While at CVSCaremark, Lisa helped PBM clients discover opportunities to improve member outcomes, monitor trends, and reduce overall healthcare spend. 

 

In 2013, Lisa founded Premier Pharmacy and Health Care Strategies, LLC (PRx Strategies) and is working with health care entities to identify trends, develop strategies and solutions, and implement programs to improve member health care and outcomes.  She works with a variety of entities including health plans, health care providers, employer groups, and pharmaceutical manufacturers.
